ABOUT US
Oneiro was founded in Southeast Michigan in the summer of 2019. We started off as seven strangers wanting to start something new. Oneiro is an innovation-based organization/competition. Students are able to choose between 4 categories: Business, Law/Policy, Health Sciences, and our new category Engineering!

Students have the creative potential for so much, but we are often silenced in the name of being too young. In this day and age, students are more exposed to the real world than ever and beginning at a very young age. We see the world around us struggling through many different issues but stand idle feeling like there is nothing we can do. The mindset that was implanted into our heads from a young age was that "we can only make a difference once we are adults", causing us to suppress our complex thoughts and ideas. We as students understand our potential as much more and believe we have the ability and knowledge to take the matter of societal issues into our own hands.

Oneiro encourages students to innovate solutions for a societal issue that they are passionate about.
WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?
Originating in Michigan Oneiro is all around Southeast Michigan. In 2021, Oneiro is expanding to other States in America. We have new chapters in Illinois, Washington, Wisconsin, and Georgia. We are still growing our chapters and hope to get chapters in as many states as possible!
WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR?
PARTICIPATION
In our 2020 competition, we exceeded our original goal of 50 competitors three times with over 150 competitors in the actual competition. With 64 competitors in Business, 67 in Health Sciences, and 24 in Law/Policy. Oneiro grew even more than we had expected in the first year and we plan to expand even more in the years to come.
PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT
We contacted many professionals for the competition to volunteer as judges. These respected professionals ranged from representatives like Padma Kuppa Michigan's District 41 representative to high esteemed college professors from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, Michigan State University, and Oakland University.
